Our daily Educational Program & Routine

The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) is a National Curriculum Framework which aims to ensure that early childhood educators provide all children from birth to five years old an educational program that is consistent and of high quality. The EYLF also strongly supports a curriculum that would assist children's transition to formal schooling. The EYLF portrays a strong emphasis on play based learning, communication and language (early literacy and numeracy), social and emotional development and family input.

Every Kids Korner centre displays the same values and ideas as the EYLF. We believe that a child's family is their first teacher and thus it is vital that we collaborate with all the families within the centre. Kids Korner has developed a variety of strategies that enables parents / families to actively participate and share their ideas and values with our educational program / curriculum. Furthermore, this provides children with a holistic approach to learning as it promotes continuity between the home, community and Kids Korner's environment. Throughout this process, we also provide children with a curriculum that aims to enhance their social and emotional skills as they engage in a variety of small and large group experiences. .

"Dear Ms J,
It's a bit like school and a bit like a playover at a friend's house"
